The planning for this Conference began in Dublin in 2006 at the 5th International Conference. During the intervening years, the group of planners (the Founding Board) for all five preceding conferences decided to also form a new organization at the 6th Conference in Montreal called --

Mission of the new International Association:

To stimulate, generate, integrate and disseminate research and evidence-based practice in the field of workplace bullying and harassment and to promote fairness, justice and dignity at work for all.

Key Activities:

1. The coordination of the bi-annual Conference.
2. Sharing of research and evidence-based practice through: website, newsletter, seminars, networking groups, committees, etc.
3. Provide collaboration opportunities for researchers and practitioners.

Membership:

Open to all
Fees: (proposed) £60 (GBP) per year, £40 for students, an undetermined rate for members from poor nations
Benefits: Reduced Conference registration for members, information sharing


The Inaugural Board of Directors for the new International Association

Charlotte Rayner was designated President by the Founding Board. The remaining members of the initial Board of Directors were selected by vote of those in attendance in Montreal.
