From WBI Legislative State Coordinators, Co-Directors of California Healthy Workplace Advocates (posted 5/30/07): On April 28,2007 Workers Memorial Day in Sacramento, injured workers and their families members spoke out about workers who have been killed or injured on the job and workers who face a nightmare trying to get medical care under SB899 which deregulated Workers Compensation in California. Workers also discussed the need to have anti-bullying legislation statewide. Bullying in the workplace is a growing problem and many workers have had their lives destroyed through abusive workplace environment.
